Admissions Information
Arrangements for your hospital stay
are made in advance by your private physician unless
you are admitted from the Emergency Department. You
may visit the hospital prior to your admission date
for a preadmission interview if you are scheduled
for an elective procedure. Pre-admitting reduces any
delays that may be encountered in the admitting
process. In order to help your family and friends
contact you, your name and room number will be
available on the daily census at our Information
Desk. If you choose not to have your name listed,
you may request this at the time of your admission.
It is important to know that if you
choose this option, you will not receive any calls,
mail, or flowers during your hospital stay. At the
time of your admission, you will be asked to present
insurance information for proper handling of your
claim. Individuals being admitted under the
provisions of Medicare or Medicaid must also present
their health insurance claim cards.
Your signature will be needed on
authorization and consent forms in order to properly
process your medical bills. Your physician is a
member of Campbell County Memorial Hospital's
Medical Staff and will make necessary arrangements
for tests, medications, procedures, or other special
treatment that you will need. When necessary, your
physician may consult with other healthcare
providers within the hospital in order that your
medical needs can be met. Your physician may find it
necessary to consult with healthcare providers
outside of the hospital, but he/she will ask for
your consent prior to making contact with those
individuals.
Your room assignment is based upon
your admitting diagnosis and the bed availability on
the day of your admission. All rooms are private
with a few exceptions in the Intensive Care Unit,
Nursery, and the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
