Volunteer- 

Become a Volunteer         

As one of the largest Holiday fundraising events in Campbell County, Festival of Trees relies on community members to help pull off the event. Volunteer opportunities are available for all types of "time-givers".  Aprons are provided for volunteers to wear to identifying "helpers".  Light snacks are provided for all volunteers.  Volunteers must be at least high school age.

 

Opportunities

Set-up Helpers
November 22, 2006 · Cam-Plex Energy Hall · 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Physical requirements: standing/walking/some lifting

Assist the committee or decorators with set-up items such as trees, displays, hang lights/garland, lay snow, hand signs, general decorating.  

Tear Down Helpers
November 29, 2006 · Cam-Plex Energy Hall · 8 a.m. to 12 noon 

Physical requirements: standing/walking/some lifting

Assist the committee or decorators with tear-down items such as trees, displays, lights/garland, snow, signs, and general decorations.

Greeters 
Throughout Festival · Cam-Plex Energy Hall 

Physical requirements: standing/moving

Greet the public, hand out programs, answer questions, explain items of interest such as tree ballots and assist traffic flow.

Raffle Ticket Salespeople
Throughout Festival · Cam-Plex Energy Hall

Physical requirements: sitting/counting money

Greet the public, sell tickets, provide information.

Crowd Control Helpers for Family Day 
November 26, 2006 · Cam-Plex Energy Hall · 1pm - 5pm 

Physical requirements: standing/directing

Protect trees and other decorations from breakage, answer questions, direct viewers, help with traffic flow.

Tree Deliverers/Fluffers
November 29, 2006 · Cam-Plex Energy Hall · 8am - 12noon

Physical requirements: driving/standing/walking/lifting

Pick up trees, drive trees to correct location, and help set them up in buyer's home/business.

Volunteer Check-In
Throughout Festival · Cam-Plex Energy Hall

Physical requirements: walking/sitting

Register volunteers, check-out aprons, provide name tags,  directions and information.

Hole Hosts

Explain specific hole tactic and hand out putters to Holiday Hole-in-One golfers.

What to Wear

Comfortable Shoes! Aprons are provided for all volunteers to help identify "helpers."

During the Festival: Holiday attire is recommended. If no holiday attire is available, white or light color.

During setup, takedown & delivery: Work clothes, jeans, gloves

Group Volunteer Information

Volunteers must be at least high school age. Groups under high school age are welcome with proper supervision. Scheduling will be done on a first-come first-serve basis. To schedule your volunteer group click on the link below:
