Working together to provide quality cancer care to patients in our region
from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up.

Comprehensive cancer care requires a team approach, treating not only the disease but meeting the many needs of the patient and their family.

Primary Care Physicians

Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Pediatric physicians are usually the first ones involved in a diagnosis of cancer.

Biopsy and Cancer Surgery

Board Certified Radiologists and Surgeons perform procedures to identify and remove cancerous tissue.

Diagnostic Imaging

X-ray, CT Scanning, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography are important diagnostic tools in both cancer screening and treatment.

Laboratory Tests and Pathology

The hospital laboratory performs tests for cancer markers and health assessments during the treatment process, and provide blood products for transfusion when necessary. Pathologists confirm a cancer diagnosis and staging to track disease progression.

Medical Oncology

A Medical Oncologist diagnoses and treats cancer with chemotherapy, biological and other systemic therapies. Oncology Certified Nurses provide chemotherapy and individualized cancer care based on nationally recognized standards.

Radiation Oncology

A Radiation Oncologist diagnoses and treats cancer with radiation therapy. The Radiation Therapist and other staff carry out the prescribed treatment plan and provide supportive care.

Pharmacy

Registered Pharmacists provide and prepare chemotherapy and biological medications.

Nutrition Services

Registered Dietitians provide nutritional assessments and support to improve the patient’s quality of life during the course of their treatment.

Rehabilitation Services

Physical and occupational therapists provide mastectomy rehabilitation, strengthening and restorative exercises and massage therapy.

American Cancer Society/Cancer Information Center

ACS volunteers provide support, encouragement and information related to cancer diagnosis, treatment and coping with cancer.

Social Services/Hospital Chaplain/Patient Accounting

These departments assist cancer patients with their financial, social and family, and spiritual concerns.
