 The Maternal/Child Services Department provides care and services for obstetrical, neonatal, infant and gynecological patients in northeast Wyoming. Four birthing suites make the birth experience as homelike as possible, with an adjacent C-section room if needed.
Our Level II Nursery cares for premature newborns needing more intensive care, and the Special Care Nursery has services for infants with illnesses such as RSV (a respiratory virus that can be serious in infants).

Staff education and training is vital to improving patient outcomes. Our staff of 38 registered nurses and 11 licensed practical nurses include two Regional Trainers for Neonatal Resuscitation, five Lactation Consultants, four Certified Fetal Monitoring Instructors, five Prenatal Class Instructors, and 13 Nationally Certified RNs.

Campbell County Memorial Hospital has the 3rd highest delivery rate in the state of Wyoming, with 800 births in 2008.
Business strategies for 2008-2009 include expanding to a Level IIB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, capable of infant respirator care.
Maternal/Child Services has 18 RNs who have been in nursing for more than 20 years. This is the highest number of any department at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
