Hospice
307.688.6230

Donna Lowery, RN, Manager

Hospice is a special kind of care for people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and their caregivers. The Campbell County Memorial Hospital Hospice is not a place. It is an all-encompassing approach to the care we provide in the comfort of your home.

Our hospice care embraces all patients, whether they have diagnoses of cancer, heart disease, AIDS, Alzheimer’s or other life-limiting illnesses.

The hospice philosophy---the quality of our life is as important as the length of our life.

Family and friends are the primary caregivers, and are educated on how to teach and support their family members. The hospice team consists of specially trained nurses, social workers, chaplains, spiritual care coordinators, home health aides, homemakes and volunteers. The team provides both patients and families with pain management, symptom control, emotional and spiritual support and grief support.

Hospice provides care wherever the patient calls home. This includes a nursing home or long term care facility. Hospice patients in Campbell County will soon have the option of the Hospice/Hospitality House, a project of the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation.

"You matter to the last moment of your life, and we will do all we can, not only to help you die peacefully but to live until you die."--Dame Cicely Saunders, founder of the first hospice.
