Gregg Mentzel, NREMT-P(National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), is the EMS Manager for Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Gregg has been in EMS since 1989 and completed his Paramedic training in 1994. Gregg also works with various hospital and community groups including Hospital Emergency Preparadeness and Campbell County LEPC (local emergency planning committee). In his spare time, the ironman enjoys running, biking and swimming. Hobbies include gardening, hiking/camping/fishing, and coin collecting.

Sterling has been a resident of Gillette for 42 years. He attended school here and graduated in 1985, after which he started his own DJ business and worked at various jobs including McDonalds and the local radio station Y100, which in now known as the FOX. He started his EMS career in 1996 after taking an EMT-B class at CCMH (with Gregg Mentzel as his instructor). In 1999, Sterling went to Paramedic school in SD. He has worked for CCMH for 15 years as a part time employee and works full time at the Caballo Mine for the past 5 years. Sterling was also on the CCVFD from 1985-2006. In 2001 his son, JR., was born.

Chris became an EMT-B in 2003 and earned his Paramedic certification in 2007. Chris started at CCMH in 2007 where he also became an American Heart Association BLS Instructor. He is also a full time Captian at CCFD. Chris enjoys spending time with his family, camping, hiking, and conducting home improvements.

Kim started in EMS with her EMT-B certification in 2000. In 2004 she became certified as a NREMT-Paramedic. Kim has been working for CCMH since 2009.

Burton, NREMT-P, is the Field Training Officer and a full time Paramedic for the hospital. Burton achieved his Paramedic certification in 2003. Since then he has worked in both the Las Vegas, NV and Austin, Tx EMS systems. Burton joined CCMH in January of 2010. Burton enjoys teaching and is an instructor in ACLS, PALS, and PEPP courses. He spends his free time coaching his children in various activities and enjoys working out.

Kelly is a full time Paramedic for the hospital and an Administrative assistant to the EMS Manager. Kelly has been working for the hospital since 1999 and has been a Paramedic since 2001. Prior to CCMH, Kelly was an EMT-B in Manning, IA. Kelly enjoys running, riding dirt bikes, photography and hunting. She is interested in continuing her education to become a Critical Care Paramedic and Flight Medic.

Ken, EMT-P(Nationally Registered), started in EMS in 1982 and certified as a Paramedic in 1995. Ken began at CCMH in 2004 as a full time Paramedic. Ken is a CISM peer counselor, instructor and also does cornea harvesting for the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank. When Ken is not engaged with EMS, he enjoys shooting, sports, carpentry and riding his motorcycle. Ken is also an ACLS, PALS, and CPR instructor.

Gwen started with CCMH in 2007 and gained her Paramedic certification in 2008. Gwen also has experience working with Campbell County Fire Department. Gwen also does cornea harvesting for the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank. She is also an instructor in CPR and is a member of the CISM and HEART Teams. When Gwen is not at work, she enjoys furthering her education and playing with her dogs.

Matt has been working in EMS since 1992. Matt got his Paramedic certification in 2003 and started at CCMH in 2009. He also teaches all levels of EMS along with Telemetry/ECG, ACLS, PALS and other continuing education classes. Matt also presents various topics at conferences across the region. In his free time, he likes running, skiing, football and baseball.

Janice, NREMT-P, completed her Paramedic certification in January 2011 (from Melbourne, Fl) and was hired on at CCMH in March of the same year. Her experience includes ride time in Broward County, Brevard County and Gadsen County Fl. Janice is also an instructor for the American Heart Association and is certified in ACLS, PALS, AMLS, and PHTLS. In her free time, she is looking forward to becoming a mother, walking, reading, studying and watching movies. Another important part of her life is her two boxers. |

Stacy is currently an EMT-Intermediate. She started with EMS in 2008 and became an EMT-I in 2010. Prior to her Intermediate certification, she was working as an EMT-B with the hospital. Stacy is also a certified CPR instructor. She relaxes by hunting, fishing, camping, 4x4 riding, photography and spending time with her son and husband.

Jason took his first EMT class in San Diego in 2002. Upon being transferred to Virginia, he worked as an EMT-B for 3 years and then got certified as an ALS provider. He moved out to Wyoming in 2007 and was hired by CCMH in 2010. Jason just passed his EMS-Intermediate course and will start to provide care at that level shortly. Jason is planning on completing his education and becoming a Physician's Assistant. Jason is also the EMS webmaster. |

Lisa achieved her first EMS certificaion in 2004 as an EMT-B. She was hired by CCMH EMS in 2006 and became an EMT-I in 2007. Lisa works full time for the ER as an ER Technician and part time with EMS. Lisa's hobbies include gardening and motorcycle riding. Lisa's first experience with EMS was with Advanced First Aid in 1976. Lisa is also a Tree Decorator for the Festival of Trees.

Deanna took her first EMT class in 1987. She was certified as an EMT-I in 2009. Deanna enjoys motorcycle riding, sewing, shooting and hunting.

Barry achieved his first EMS certification in 2002 and worked as a US Army Healthcare NCO from 2004-2008. After the Army, Barry was hired by CCMH where he works in his certification as an EMT-I and a SafeKids Technician. To relax, Barry enjoys leatherwork and knife making.

Diana started her EMS career in 2000 and is currently an EMT-I. In addition to her duties with EMS, Diana is also the Safe Kids Chapter Coordinator and a child passenger safety instructor/technician. With her free time, Diana enjoys camping, horseshoes, anything to do with her grandkids and traveling the world.

Chrystal got certified as an EMT-A in 2010 and started with CCMH in January of 2011. In her spare time, she enjoys softball, snow boarding, hiking and camping.

Caleb achieved his EMT-A certification in 2011 and started with CCMH in June of the same year. He has previous experience with mine rescue.

Jeff has worked in EMS as a volunteer in West Virginia, North Dakota and Pennsylvania from 1990 to 2001. After an 11 year hiatus, Jeff recertified as an EMT Basic and was hired on at CCMH in September 2011. Jeff is also an instructor for the American Heart Association. Jeff was also a firefighter in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. In his spare time, what little he has, he likes hanging out with his kids, riding ATVs, camping and fishing.

Cheryl became an EMT-A in 2008 and started with CCMH in 2009. Before CCMH, Cheryl was a BEC working in the community. Cheryl's current duties include being a part of the Campbell County CISM team. Cheryl also uses her talent for creating realistic injuries using special effect type makeup called moulage during training scenarios.

Jeremy started in EMS in 2009 when he was hired as a driver for CCMH and then took the role of EMT-A when he was certified later that year. For recreation, Jeremy enjoys riding motorcycles.

Marlene became an EMT-A in 2011 and started at CCMH in the same year. She is a huge patriots fan and enjoys living the dream. Her collateral Duties include "Batman-the caped crusader".

Alyssa certified as an EMT-A in 2010 and was hired with CCMH shortly thereafter. She is also a firefighter with CCFD. In her spare time, she enjoys making crafts, swimming, and cosmetology.

Colleen started as an EMT-B at CCMH in 2005. She went to school and became a Paramedic in 2007. She is currently one of two full time Paramedics that are assigned to the Wright EMS base which provides care for southern Campbell County. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, playing cards and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
