Cardiac Rehabilitation helps patients gain a healthier lifestyle by strenthening their hearts and reducing their risk for future problems. The program combines exercise with information on how to modify coronary risk factors after a heart attack, stent, coronary artery bypass, valve replacement, stable angina or heart-lung or lung transplant.
Cardiac Rehabilitation gives heart patients the confidence to manage their health and return to their normal activities. If your physician has prescribed cardiac rehabilitation or diagnostic testing please call for an appointment or for questions.
Cardiac monitoring (EKG) during exercise gives your physician information in managing your care. Class sizes are small with individualized direction in exercise and patient education. The staff of registered nurses works closely with the patient, their cardiologist, primary physician, dietitian, diabetes educator, social worker and others healthcare providers.
Cardiac stress testing may be ordered by your physician to diagnose heart problems, or assist in maintaining your heart health.
Cardiac Rehab is administered by registered nurses certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Specialist and an ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) certified Cardiovascular registered nurse.
Quality Total cholesterol levels have been reduced in Cardiac Rehab patients in the program by -37 points during the last quarter.
