Cardiac Diagnostics and Rehabilitation

Phone: 307.688.2330

Bette Smith, RN, CCRN, Manager

Cardiac Rehabilitation helps patients gain a healthier lifestyle by strengthening their hearts and reducing their risk for future problems. The program combines exercise with information on how to modify coronary risk factors after a heart attack, stent, coronary artery bypass, valve replacement, stable angina or heart-lung or lung transplant.

Cardiac Rehabilitation gives heart patients the confidence to manage their health and return to their normal activities. If your physician has prescribed cardiac rehabilitation or diagnostic testing please call for an appointment or for questions.

Cardiac monitoring (EKG) during exercise gives your physician information in managing your care. Class sizes are small with individualized direction in exercise and patient education. The staff of registered nurses work closely with patients, their cardiologist, primary care physician, dietitian, diabetes educator, social worker and other healthcare providers.

Cardiac Rehab is administered by registered nurses who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Some are certified by American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Specialist (ACSM) and American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certified Cardiovascular Registered Nurse.

Quality:

National Patient Safety goals and document review are some of the quality areas reviewed in Cardiac Diagnostics. Cardiac stress testing may be ordered by your physician to diagnose heart problems, or assist in maintaining your heart health.
