Medical Oncology uses chemotherapy, biotherapy and targeted therapies to treat a variety of cancers through infusion, injection or oral medications.
Campbell County Memorial Hospital's newly expanded Medical Oncology area offers comfortable, spacious surroundings on the main floor of the hospital. Use the north, or "annex" entrance to access the Cancer Care Center.
Comprehensive cancer care requires a team approach, treating not only the disease but the needs of the patient and their family.
Forty percent of medical oncology's registered nurses hold national certification in Medical Oncology.
Infusion Center We provide intravenous infusions for antimicrobial therapy, therapeutic injections, and many other infusion therapies that include (but are not limited to): IV antibiotics, fluid and electrolyte management (hydration), Remicade infusions, subcutaneous therapies (Neupogen etc.), blood transfusions, autoimmune disorder therapies, and anemia therapies. Your family physician and/or specialist may refer you to our Infusion Center for such treatments.
