e-Therapy

E-Therapy is mental health therapy that can be accessed with a licensed professional counselor through the internet, by email.

The state of Wyoming is pursuing a pilot program in consideration of beginning to utilize E-Therapy in the state. Behavioral Health Services (BHS) of Campbell County Memorial Hospital is one of the chosen sites for this pilot project in hopes of making therapeutic services more widely available to our Northeast region.

The link, www.wyonlinecounseling.com, is a secure counseling web site in which a person may either utilize limited parts of the web site for personal information on their own or utilize the full web site with a BHS counselor.  The services of the counselor are utilized through BHS and require an initial face-to-face contact with the counselor at BHS.  From that point on, the counseling is accomplished through email contact with the counselor.  The fees associated with E-Therapy are the same as face-to-face counseling but at this point personal insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare will not reimburse for these services; however, all discounts associated with BHS are applied.

If you are interested in pursuing E-Therapy you can log on at www.wyonlinecounseling.com and it will give you directions on pursuing a counselor at BHS or if you just want to utilize the resources within the website, it will help you with that process.
