GILLETTE, WY – Campbell County Memorial Hospital will begin an Assisted Parking Program on November 6, 2009. Assisted Parking is a free service for hospital patients and visitors with limited mobility and/or a physical condition that requires extra assistance going to and from the main hospital facility. The program will also provide wheelchair assistance to and from vehicles and destinations within the hospital, such as the Laboratory or Radiology. Assisted Parking services are provided by CCMH Security staff, with assistance from Plant Operations.
Assisted Parking spaces will be marked with signage in the main parking lot, Emergency parking lot and Annex parking lot. Patients or visitors call 688.1000 for wheelchair assistance into the building; or park temporarily in the patient loading zone in front of the main entrance and inquire at the front desk/operator; or call 688.1000 from their vehicle to request assistance. Another option for Assisted Parking is to call 688.1000 from home to schedule an appointment for assistance. Patrons provide the operator with an arrival time and which parking lot will be used. Assisted parking staff will meet patients and visitors at their vehicle and provide wheelchair assistance to and from the building.
Assisted Parking spaces will also be identified in the new CCMH parking garage, scheduled to be completed in February 2010.
