CNA Basic Course Information

The CNA Basic program is a three-week program (times subject to change and may vary by day). Most classes are Tuesday through Friday; however Mondays are added, if needed. If you are worried about conflicts, speak to the instructor at the pre-class meeting.

Applications and Forms

Course fees for CNA Basic Class

$600; $150 of this fee must be made as a down payment and submitted with the application; the remainder is due at the pre-class meeting.

TB (tuberculosis) screening

This may be obtained at the Public Health Office or other health care agencies. Results of this test need to be submitted at the pre-class meeting.

Also due at the pre-class meeting are two forms of Identification: see pre-registration form for acceptable forms of ID.

NOTE: Failure to present all of the above at the pre-class meeting will result in your name being removed from the class list, and your spot will be given to those on the waiting list.

Additional Fees

Following the completion of the class, when you apply for certification, you will have to pay additional fees of:

  1. $120 to the Wyoming State Board of Nursing for certification
  2. $98 to American Red Cross for national testing exams
  3. $5-10 for fingerprinting to be done at the Police Department or Sheriff's Office

NOTE: These fees are subject to change and there may be more fees added.
