Description

Working in conjunction with the Emergency Care Department manager, Emergency Care Department (ECD) clinical care supervisors, and RN, the CNA performs a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal, comfort and emergency care needs of patients within the framework of the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act and the National Patient Safety Goals. The CNA work is reflective of CCMH mission, vision and values. The CNA will integrate departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum.



Qualifications

High school graduate or GED, completion of nurse's aide certification. Those who currently have an EMT Certification: Wyoming State or National registry/certification as EMT-A or EMT-I, certification as medical technician or commensurate experience are eligible for hire but must complete CNA training within one year. Currently certified in the State of Wyoming; Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training. (with on time renewal). Must have current Healthcare Provider CPR or Red Cross Professional Rescuer certification within 60 days of employment. Previous CNA experience preferred.
