Description
Working in conjunction with the Clinic Physician and Clinic Supervisor, the Medical Assistant ensures excellence in patient and family care, reflective of CCMH mission, vision and values. Performs medical testing and treatment within scope of certification in accordance with physician's orders including, but not limited to; lab tests, x-rays, EKG's, spirometry and audiometry. Obtains appropriate patient medical history necessary to perform diagnostic procedures as ordered; radiology, laboratory, spirometry and audiometry. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED. Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Certification program preferred. Current radiology restricted license (areas I, II, III) - clinic specific requirement. Medical Assistant Certification preferred. Must have current Healthcare Provider CPR or Red Cross Professional Rescuer Certification within 31 days of employment. One year medical assistant in clinic setting preferred. Phlebotomy experience preferred. LPN-Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Wyoming license.
