Abiders provide a caring presence for residents at Pioneer Manor long term care facility and patients at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, givng comfort as death nears. Abiders are not meant to take the place of family and friends, but some residents may have outlived family and friends, and the program's goal is make sure no one dies alone. All volunteer Abiders complete an orientation program and are overseen by CCMH Chaplain Services. |
