Bio-medical engineering maintains the electrical integrity and functionality of clinical equipment for therapeutic, clinical and diagnostic care. Functions include pre-purchase evaluation, scheduled maintenance, modifications and service agreement review.
Bio-medical engineering strives to maintain safe, reliable equipment for patient care while meeting or exceeding regulatory compliance standards.
Staff consists of 3 technicians and a department secretary. Biomedical engineers are required to complete a minimum of an Associate Degree in Bio-medical equipment technology, and most also have an associated degree in a related field.
